Write the obtained value in the simplest form

 \longrightarrow \sf \: \frac{6}{8}  +  \frac{5}{4}  \\

LCM of 8 and 4 is 8.

 \longrightarrow \sf \: \frac{6}{8}  +  \frac{5 \times 2}{4 \times 2}  \\

 \longrightarrow \sf \: \frac{6}{8}  +  \frac{10}{8}  =  \frac{6 + 10}{8}  \\

 \longrightarrow \sf \cancel \frac{16}{8}  =  \frac{2}{1}  = 2 \\

Therefore,the answer is 2.
