\bold{Principle\:of\:Mathematical\:Induction}

According to the principle of mathematical induction, to prove a statement that is asserted about every natural number n, there are Three things to be proved :

  • Step 1 - putting n=1 and check given statement is true or false.
  • Step 2 - Consider that statement is true for n = k.
  • Step 3 - Prove that the given statement is true for n = (k+1).

Here are the steps:-

♦First check whether the given statement is true for the value of 1.

♦Then check whether it is true for the value of k and by considering so if it is true for k+1 then the given statement is true.
