biodegradable substances are those which can be decompsed taht means converted into simpler substances by the action of micro organisms or decomposers eg.excreta animal waste plant waste etc .

Non biodegradable substances causes air pollution if burned;causes soil pollution if thrown anywhere on the ground and causes water pollution if it is thrown in water . like that many types of harms are caused due to non biodegradable substances.
