Heya!!
On the basis of retentivity, corresivity and hystersis loss , the ferromagnetic materials are divided into two types:
* Soft magnetic material
* Hard magnetic material

♦ SOFT MAGNETIC MATERIAL:
• if there is low retentivity then there would be small hystersis loss.

• if there is low corressivity then there would be small hystersis loop.

These materials are used in electromagnet, motor , generator etc.


♦ HARD MAGNETIC MATERIAL:
• if there is high retentivity then there would be high hystersis loss.

• if there would be high corressivity then there would be high hystersis loop.

These materials are used in making magnetic tape, magnetic core computer memories, permanent magnets.
