Answer :

  • The quadratic polynomial is x² - 5x/12 + 3/12.

Given :

  • Zeroes of a quadratic polynomial are 3/4 and -1/3

To Find :

  • The quadratic polynomial.

Solution :

Here

  • Zeroes of the quadratic polynomial are 3/4 and -1/3

As we know that

Formula for finding quadratic polynomial is

→ x² - (sum of zeroes)x + product of zeroes

- (α + β)x - αβ

Sum of zeroes :

→ 3/4 + (-1/3)

→ 3/4 - 1/3

→ (9 - 4)/12

5/12

Product of zeroes :

→ 3/4 × (-1/3)

-3/12

Put the values in the formula

→ x² - (α + β)x - αβ

→ x² - (5/12)x - (-3/12)

- 5x/12 + 3/12

Hence, the quadratic polynomial is - 5x/12 + 3/12.
