Understanding Concept :

Climate of regions depend upon latitudes .

  • Like , Temperature is warm near the equator .
  • And Temperature is cool near the poles

Climate is also affected by the ocean currents.

So, By this we can easily distinguish between the climate of the regions given in the above map.

Answer :

Starting from North :

  • Climate will be cold

Under the 1st latitude

  • Climate will be moderate

Region above equator

  • Climate will be hot

Region below equator

  • Climate will be hot

Region under Last latitude

  • Climate will be normally cold

Climate of a particular area is also affected by the surrounding, such as :

  • Landforms around the region

For example , The arravali range and the himalayan ranges.

Climate of India is monsoonal

Means cold climate .

According to latitudenal divison

  • Kerala is near to equator so it will be basically warm

But Rajasthan is more Warm.

The monsoon wind blows from south of Indian Ocean to Himalayas .

  • Himalayas being cold send the cold air to the Western parts of India

Aravalli Ranges Protect Rajasthan and parts of Gujrat from the cold Winds

Hence, Rainfall will be less due to landforms arround Rajasthan

And Thus, We have Thar desert in Rajasthan
