RESULTS--------------
according to it
- Most of the part of atom is mostly Alpha particles passed through without deflection .
- the positively charged particles are concentrated in a very small region that is nucleus so few Alpha particles deflect slightly and very few Alpha particles are deflected by 180° angle.
- as a whole atom is neutral that means number of protons are equal to number of electrons present in outer part of nucleus
- atomic mass according to Rutherford is not equals to total mass of proton.
LIMITATIONS--
- It does not explain formation of hydrogen spectrum.
- electron revolve around the nucleus and release energy continuously so fine electrons must be collapse in nucleus but is is not seen
