Peristalsis is the movement which takes place in the oesophagus . It is a wavy movement which pushes the food down to the stomach

Spinchter muscles :

They are the muscles present in the opening and the end of the stomach which closes both the end so that the digestive juices get poured and the food gets mixed well . The opening muscle is cardiac spinchter and the end one is pyloric spinchter.
