In the novel, two ways are considered to deal with pride. Amends are made by Darcy and Elizabeth, by letting off their prides. As pointed out for the earlier portion of the novel, When Elizabeth was with her sister, while the sister was sick, Darcy said that it was not required to have pride at all. The theme of the story is love and pride is not required.
Pride theme is addressed in two ways. Both Elizabeth and Darcy recognize and make corrections to their pride errors. Several prominent points in the novel help depict both Elizabeth and Darcy letting go of their pride.
