REDUCE TO THE SIMPLEST FORM

Given :-

8^{\frac{-1}{3} }

Solution :-

= 8^{\frac{-1}{3} } \\\\= 2^{3*(\frac{-1}{3}) }\\ \\= 2^{-1} \\\\= \frac{1}{2}\\ \\

⇒ The reduced form of the given equation is 1/2.

Procedure Followed :-

  • 8 can be written as 2³ so we have reduced the form for the number 8.
  • The cubic power obtained from reducing the number 8 gets cancelled by the existing power -1/3.
  • By this, we receive: 2^{-1}.
  • 2^{-1} can be written as \frac{1}{2^{1} } = \frac{1}{2}.
