The vertebrates show following features-

• Vertebrates body typically consist of 4 regions: Head, neck, truck and tail.

• There is some degree of segmentation.

• Skin consist of epidermis of many layers of cells and dermis of connective tissues.

• Body muscles are striated and attached to outer surface of skeleton.

• There is spaceous true coelom.

•The alimantary canal is complete.
