laboratory thermometer tells about quantatiy of chemicals and clinical thermometer describes temperature of our body.

Similarities:

1.Bulbs contain mercury.

2.Glass tubes are long, narrow and uniform.

Differences:

1.Clinical thermometer is used to measure body temperature however laboratory thermometer is not used for the purpose of measuring body temperature.

2.The temperature range of clinical thermometers is 35°C-42°C and that of laboratory thermometers is -10°C-110°C.

3.The least count of both the thermometers is different.
