It was raining cats and dogs. I was all alone at my home when suddenly the power was cut off. At 1:00 am I could hear the noise of the cats crying. I heard somebody climbing our stairs.
At first, I thought I was just hallucinating, but to my surprise I was right and somebody was actually there. I struggled to imagine how anyone could enter our house, yet I gathered myself and grabbed a bat. Soon I was sure that there was actually more than one person climbing towards my room. I was just about to pick up my phone when I had my door open.



I dropped my phone and raised my bat when two of my best friends spoke in a tone: Happy
Friendship's Day. I was startled but filled with joy. It turned out that they had planned this with my parents to cheer me up after my birthday. I was so glad and thankful that they had come without asking. We enjoyed the whole night talking and cracking jokes on one another. I was relieved of my sorrow too.
