Atrium:
--Receive blood from veins, vena cavae for right atrium and pulmonary vein for left atrium
--Pump blood into ventricles
--Thin walls
--Contains large volume of blood
--Less muscular walls
Ventricle:
--Recieve blood from atria
--Pump blood into arteries, pulmonary artery for right ventricle and systemic aorta (pronounced "iota") for the left ventricles
--Thick walls
--Contain less volume of blood, the right ventricle carrying more blood than the left.
More muscular walls.
