Answer:

The cell wall is the protective, semi-permeable outer layer of a plant cell. A major function of the cell wall is to give the cell strength and structure, and to filter molecules that pass in and out of the cell.

Hey mate ✌✌✌

Here is your answer .

1) PLASTIDS

Functions of plastids :

  • They provide colour to fruits and flowers.
  • They helps in storage of proteins, starch and oil.
  • They trap solar energy to manufacture food through the process of photosynthesis.

Structure of plastid :

  • Chloroplasts have a spheroid shape (oval shaped), which may be as a result of being pressed against the cell wall by the large vacuole .
  • The morphology has also been shown to be dynamic, which means that the general shape can change over time.
  • Studies have also shown the plastid to be polarized and ranging from 5 to 10 micrometers in width depending on the plant.

2) NUCLEUS

Structure Of Nucleus :

  • It is generally the most prominent organelle in the cell. The nucleus is completely bound by membranes.
  • It is surrounded by a structure called the nuclear envelope. This membrane separates the contents of the nucleus from the cytoplasm.
  • The cell’s chromosomes are also enclosed within it.
  • DNA is present in the Chromosomes and they provide the genetic information required for the creation of other cell components and also for reproduction of life.

Function of Nucleus :

  • It contains the cell’s hereditary information and controls the cell’s growth and reproduction.
  • The nucleus has been clearly explained as a membrane -bound structure that comprises the genetic material of a cell.
  • It is not just a storage compartment for DNA but also happens to be the home of some essential cellular processes.

3) CELL WALL

Structure of Cell Wall :

  • The cell wall is the outer covering of a cell, present adjacent to the cell membrane, which is also called the plasma membrane .
  • The cell wall is present in all plant cells, fungi, bacteria, algae, and some archaea.
  • An animal cell is irregular in their shape and this is mainly due to the lack of cell wall in their cells. The compositions of the cell wall usually vary along with organisms.

Function of Cell Wall :

  • The cell wall is an integral component of the plant cell and it performs many essential functions. Following are some of the major cell wall functions observed:
  • The plant cell wall provides definite shape, strength, rigidity
  • It also provides protection against mechanical stress and physical shocks .
  • It helps to control cell expansion due to the intake of water
  • Also helps in preventing water loss from the cell
  • It is responsible for transporting substances between and across the cell .
  • It acts as a barrier between the interior cellular components and the external environment .

Hope it helps you . :---)
