Functions of plastids :

• They trap solar energy to manufacture food through the process of photosynthesis.

Structure of plastid :

• Chloroplasts have a spheroid shape (oval shaped), which may be as a result of being pressed against the cell wall by the large vacuole .
• The morphology has also been shown to be dynamic, which means that the general shape can change over time.
• Studies have also shown the plastid to be polarized and ranging from 5 to 10 micrometers in width depending on the plant.

2) NUCLEUS

Structure Of Nucleus :

• It is generally the most prominent organelle in the cell.The nucleus is completely bound by membranes.
• It is surrounded by a structure called the nuclear envelope.This membrane separates the contents of the nucleus from the cytoplasm.
• The cell’s chromosomes are also enclosed within it.
• DNA is present in the Chromosomes and they provide the genetic information required for the creation of other cell components and also for reproduction of life.
