in the year 1817 of German scientist awareness suggest that properties of elements are related to their atomic masses. He made group of three element is having similar chemical properties are called in triads .rearrange the three elements in the triad in an increasing order of atomic mass and show that the atomic mass of middle element of approximately equal to the mean of the atomic masses of the other two elements however, all the known element could not be classified into the dobereiner triads .

the atomic mass of middle element of traids is equal to the arithmetic mean of other two elements.
limitations.
1. it failed to arrange all the then known elements in the form of traids.
2. dobereiner's code identify only three traids from the then known elements
