Decomposition reaction is the type of reaction in which the reactant give simpler products.
Important uses of decomposition reactions:
1.in the extraction of zinc from its carbonate ore ZnCO3
2.electrolysis of molten aluminium oxide to form aluminium.
3.In electrolytic decomposition of water to form hydrogen and oxygen.
4.in black and white photography.
5.To obtain sodium metal from sodium chloride.
