The steps involved in chemical equation are

1) Write the symbols of the reactants on the left hand side with plus sign between them if more than two.

2) Write the symbols of the products on the right hand side with a plus sign between them.

3) Put the sign of an arrow in between the reactant and the product side.

4) Represent the reactants and the products in their molecular forms.
