Hey sup!

As per the question,

x^2-x-6=0.
=x^2-3x+2x-6=0.
=x(x-3)+2(x-3)=0.
=(x+2)(x-3)=0.

x+2=0
x=-2.

x-3=0.
x=3.

So -2 and 3 are the zeroes of the polynomial x^2-x-6.

Hope it helps.

Given:

x2-x-6

To Find:

Find the zeroes of the polynomial

Solution:

A polynomial is an expression that has several contents in them as variables, constants and exponents which are connected through mathematical operations.

A zero of a polynomial is defined as the value of the variable for which the polynomial becomes zero, also known as the roots of the polynomial.

To find the roots of the polynomial we equate the polynomial to 0 and then find the value of the variable.

Given polynomial is,

P(x)=x^2-x-6

Now solving the equation using the splitting method,

[tex]P(x)=x^2-x-6\\ x^2-x-6=0\\ x^2-3x+2x-6=0\\ x(x-3)+2(x-3)=0\\ (x-3)(x+2)=0\\ x=3,-2[/tex]

Hence, the zeroes of the polynomial are 3 and -2.
