Three forms of energy required to carry out decomposition reactions are heat , light and electricit

When decomposition reaction required heat to take place then it is known as thermal decomposition reaction

When decomposition reaction takes place in presence of light then it is known as photolytic decomposition reaction

When decomposition reaction takes place after passing electric current then it is known as electrolytic decomposition

Chemical equations for each are pinned with it
