Three laws of Hume and Ruthery are:

1) Two species should have less than 15% relative difference between the atomic radius or diameter to have a good solid solubility.

2) The crystalline structure of two elements must be same and a metal having higher valency will be dissolved more efficiently by another metal. Valency of solute and solvent must be same for greater solubility.

3) Maximum solubility is achieved by those elements who have electronegative difference almost 0.
