First of all make their denominators same :
$\ \frac{2}{5} and \: \frac{5}{9}$
Their LCM is 45 .
So ,
The numbers are
$\frac{2}{5} \times \frac{9}{9} = \frac{18}{45}$
and
$\frac{5}{9} \times \frac{5}{5} = \frac{25}{45}$
So , three rational numbers between
$\frac{2}{5} and \frac{5}{9} are$
$\frac{19}{45} comma \frac{20}{45} comma \: \frac{21}{45}$
There are infinite rational numbers between them .
So , you can take any of them .
