write two integers whose difference is 6 and whose sum is also 6

sharmaaryanu6432432w: Let x and y are two integers and x > y.
According to the problem given,
Sum of the two integers = 6
x + y = 6 ---------( 1 )
Difference of the two integers = 6
x - y = 6 --------( 2 )
Add equqtions ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) we get
2x = 12
x = 12 / 6
x = 6
Put x = 6 in equation ( 1 )
y = 0
Therefore ,
Required two integers are x = 6 and y = 0

Hey mate!

Here's your answer!

Let the numbers be x and y. Then,
x+y = 6
=> x = 6-y ...(i)
Also,
x-y = 6
=> 6-y-y = 6 [From (i)]
=> -2y = 0
=> y = 0
When y=0,
x = 6-0
=> x = 6
Therefore, the values of x and y are 6 and 0 respectively.

Hope it helps :)
