Answer:

Fishes, shrimps, sharks, sea horse, jellyfish, and lobsters are having the ability to breathe underwater on their own. Fishes having gills which are filled with blood vessels intakes oxygen by taking water through its mouth and the blood vessels present in it absorbs oxygen and pass it to the fish cells while disposing of the water absorbed through the gill passages. For non-breathing aquatic animals mostly mammals like dolphins and whales, oxygen – binding protein named Myoglobin tend to be present ten times more which makes them hold their breath underwater for a very long time. Cuvier’s beaked whale and southern elephant seals hold the record of highest breath-holding animals underwater.
