Good morning/afternoon everyone. I am indeed feeling very honored to have this opportunity to welcome you all to this prestigious moment when our institution hosts this debate. This day is also an opportunity to witness the showcasing of the talents of the young minds of our institution/ school. I am indeed very happy to have (name of the chief guest), here with us to support and boost us in our activity. Amidst of his/ her busy schedules, he/ she is here to encourage us. I cordially extend a warm welcome to you sir/ madam.
At last, I would like to wish a best of luck to each and every participant to give their best. But, remember that competition is not about winning or loosing but its all about participating. Wish you a best of luck!
