The year 2020 is difficult for all of us, and we have seen many ups and downs in the first half year itself. This year we are going through Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic because of which we are locked in our homes. All the things like work, gym, mall, society around which our lives revolved seems us now so temporary. It has taught us that, at last, our home and valuable relationships are with us in every situation which keeps us safe. We all have learned something in a good or a bad way from this year. I would like to share the lessons which I have learned during this roller coaster year 2020 in 8 points :-
1) Value Relationships
Treasure your loved ones a little more every day, hug them a bit tighter, talk to them for longer as you never know when is the last time you are doing so. In this pandemic situation, we have realized our lives and lives of our loved ones is the only treasure we have. As the people you give and receive energy from are very important which affects your mental state directly. Though we cannot meet our loved ones and have to maintain “social distancing” in this situation, yet we can be there for each other through calls or playing online games. Earlier, due to busy schedules we could not have that hours of conversation or time to play virtual games which actually helps us in healing our pains and mental stress. So, we should value every life around us and cherish every moment with your loved ones. Because it is a saying ” रिश्तों की कदर समझलो तो बात इतनी सी है ताज महल दुनिया ने देखा है मुमताज़ ने नहीं “.
2) No amount of success or fame defines Happiness
You can be happy in a small 4 by 4 room spending your time with your family, having a deep thoughtful conversation or sharing a meal together. Success and fame amalgamation does not define happiness. I am sharing an incident of my childhood which made me realize what actually Happiness is? I used to go to learn classical dance, “Kathak” and that class used to be one hour every day except on weekends. Then, waiting eagerly for that hour every day because that was the time I was at my happiest moment. So happiness is when you love doing something without proving to anyone else which makes you feel content from inside and out. Moreover, you never realize while doing it how the time has actually passed so swiftly. So, happiness is in everything whether it is dancing, writing, reading, driving, music, gaming, watching movies or just surfing net which makes you feel ecstatic in every way, “क्यूंकि आप जो भी काम ख़ुशी से करते है वो हमेशा सहजता से हो जाता है “
3) Pay more attention towards Mental Health
Mental health is equally important as physical health. The people you give and receive energy from are very important that affect your mental state directly. But we don’t discuss and stress about it openly because we have a mindset of “Depression is a weakness, but actually it is an illness.” So, we are living in a world where mental health is not given importance and if a person is going through it he or she is considered as weak or psycho. Therefore, we should give more importance to emotional wealth, “क्यूंकि पैसा सिर्फ हाथो की मेल है “.
4) Don’t take life for Granted
Life is the most precious asset that anyone can have and it will slip off your hands, even before you know it. Every second of every day is a gift, and we should feel blessed for all the things we have so far. Problems and difficulties will always arise, but they are not as important as your life itself. Whether the day is good or bad, always find a blessing in it. And the day you thought you don’t have anything good just remember you are surrounded by your loved ones. So make it a point to show your loved ones how much you Love, appreciate their efforts and always cherish the moments which you have lived with them. Therefore, we all should learn that how our life feels is much more important than how actually our life looks.(कहा जाता है “जान है तोह जहान है )
5) Everything is temporary
This pandemic made us realize everything is temporary whether it’s our daily routine, jobs, gym, shopping luxury items, hanging out, junk food, relationships. Everything that we are used to taking for granted, everything that we thought would last forever is now just a short-lived moment. In short, you cannot control what happens but you can control how you react accordingly. We could not curtail this situation because it was not in our hands, but as “अँधेरे के बाद उजाला है “. These days will vanish one day, and our normal days will come back soon when we will breathe freely around this beautiful world.
