My favourite story book is Pinocchio. It is ia fairy tale. My friend gave it to me for my birthday.
An old carpenter called Geppeto made a wooden puppet. A fairy made him walk and talk. The carpenter named him Pinocchio.
Pinnocchio lied to the fairy. So his nose grew very long. It is the most interesting part of the story. Pinocchio looked very funny with a long nose. Later, he found Gepetto and promised not to tell lies again.
It has a happy ending. I learnt that it's not good to tell lies. I like to read Pinocchio again.

There was a time when all animals talked to each other. They lived together in communities happily. One day the Sun decided not to come out all of a sudden. The Earth became pitch black and there was winter all over the world. The Earth became cold as ice and all the plants and animals were starting to freeze. There was nothing to eat and there was no warmth anywhere on Earth.
All the animals gathered and discussed that they should do something about it.They then decided to fly to Sun and ask her to come back to earth. Everyone agreed to the plan. But an old turtle asked who would fly to the Sun. Everyone became silent after hearing that question. The great tigers excused themselves saying that they were made for running. The monkeys chattered that they were made for jumping while the peacocks said they could not fly for a long period of time. Every animal started make an excuse of their inabilities.
Finally the crow who was listening to everyone's excuses said that he will fly to Sun. At this everyone started to laugh at him. They started to murmur how such a frivolous bird like him could fly to Sun. The crow at that time had white gentle feathers and a soothing voice. Everyone though that the crow was being foolish because they though that such a beautiful bird would never do anything for others.
But the crow proved them wrong. He flew straight away to Sun without listening to them. The crow flew for so many days until he reached there. After reaching Sun, the crow greeted her but the Sun did not hear him. So the crow screamed at the top of his voice again. On hearing the loud voice, the Sun got so scared that she burst into a bigger flame.
The flames burned the crow and all his majestic feather turned dark and ugly. When Sun realised that she has burned the crow, who had come to talk to her, she became regretful and remorseful. She asked if there was anything she could do for him. The crow who had come on behalf of all the animals politely asked her to keep on giving her warmth to Earth. He explained all the problems that they faced when she did not shone her bright rays on Earth. The Sun was so happy at his humble request that she promised never to turn away from Earth again.
The Sun shone back to earth and everything became bright and clear. All the animals rejoiced. Finally, the crow came back to Earth. However, no one could realise that it was him. He became dark and ugly. He also lost his gentle voice when he screamed at Sun to get her attention. No animal recognised him nor did they thank him for the sacrifice that he had made.
Slowly in time the crow became lonely and depressed. No animal wanted to make friends with him. He was left all alone. He would often caw at how cruel this world is but the other animals only felt annoyed when they heard his unpleasant voice.
