Here’s my opinion on the letter that appeared in the Hindu in response to the review of Maya Bazaar. Ramu’s letter is full of appreciation for “Maya Bazaar,” but I want to add the title of the best Telegu movie ever made to this piece of art.

“Maya Bazaaramazes the audience till date. If the Telugu film industry could be divided into two eras - Pre and Post this epic movie, then that explains everything. An all-time classic indeed! It showcases the greatest talents and performances of SVR as Ghatothkacha, ANR as Abhimanyu and NTR as Lord Krishna. And the list can goes on. I especially, liked the magnificent stature lights up the frame when NTR appeared in the movie. His dialogue delivery was subtle as well. And Savithri is an adorable beauty, a legend even now.

The events of the movie don’t truly depict the events that took place in the Mahabharata. It is the idea of K.V. Reddy of weaving a small skit in the form of “Maya Bazaar.” The stunning light effects for the song "Lahiri Lahiri Lo..." can’t be described in words. The frame has also been caught perfectly with every minute detail.

The coloured version of the movie was released in 2008 after making few edits to the original movie tape which was damaged with the passage of time. And the new version came out pretty well. If Mughal-E-Azam is the pride of the Hindi Film Industry, then the South claims to have “Maya Bazaar.” Both are magnum opus in their own way.

For me it is a 10 out of 10 forever!

Answer:

Respected Sir/Madam,

This is a rejoinder to the letter in the Hindu in response to the review of 'Maya Bazaar'. First of all I would like to thank Mr. Ramu for this appreciation of the movie 'Maya Bazaar' that was released in Color. I agree with his review when he wrote to say that experiments are Welcome to the film lovers. In this developing world, experimentation is essential in each and every field to get better results. But I am not happy as the film's Naturality has been destroyed by touching colors to it. The characteristics such as direction, Choreography, Comedy, Picturization, Dialogues, and Audio Effects etc., all are important components of a film's success. Sp, in my opinion we should encourage the use of technology is making films more impressive and at the same time we should preserve the culture and take care of the customs and traditions. I hope people will agree with me.
