Flora

flora is extremely spare in Ladakh region. Only grasses and some wild shrubs grow over bare ground. Plant cover is found in areas having water from melted snow and in the slopes where snow is present. During summer many fruit tree like apricots and apples.

Fauna

There is rich diversity of animals and birds spices in Ladakh. The fauna here has much in common with the fauna of central Asia. Various migratory birds have been sighted. Some of common birds seen are finches, robins, redstarts etc.
