Activity
Think of a time when something happened to you or to someone you know that was opposite of what was expected. Write a narrative of about 200 words describing what happened. Be sure to include specific details and use what you learned about plot, pacing, and sentence variety.

Plan and list the setting and each of the key elements of your narrative’s plot. Briefly describe each element, including a short summary of the exposition, the rising action, the climax, the falling action, and the resolution.
