Lime water is Solution of Ca(OH)2 in water. When CO2 is passed through this solution CaCO3 is formed.
Ca(OH)2(aq) + CO2(g) → CaCO3(s) + H2O(l)
When excess of CO2 is passed calcium bicarbonate is formed:
CaCO3(s) + H2O(l) + CO2(g) → Ca(HCO3)2(aq
it may help you
Ca(OH)2(aq) + CO2(g) → CaCO3(s) + H2O(l)
When excess of CO2 is passed calcium bicarbonate is formed:
CaCO3(s) + H2O(l) + CO2(g) → Ca(HCO3)2(aq
it may help you

When CO2 gas is passed through lime water
a) for a short time, it turns milky.
Ca(OH)2 +CO2 = CaCO3 + H2O
b) for a long time it becomes colourless.
CaCO3 + CO2 = Ca(HCO3)2
a) for a short time, it turns milky.
Ca(OH)2 +CO2 = CaCO3 + H2O
b) for a long time it becomes colourless.
CaCO3 + CO2 = Ca(HCO3)2
