Long, long ago, a priest used to live in the outskirts of village walla. He was a well known priest. Once during the harvest period he went alone to the fields, he was so engrossed in his work that he didn't even bother to look at the sun. The evening came as usual. He spent his time working in the fields. Just then, he heard the voice, the man was calling to him. When he turned around to see his face, to his amazement he found that man's face was quite similar to that of his and that's where the story should end. As indeed it has fir several people who have had similar experiences would have died in that moment itself. But for priest it didn't end here. The man advised him to return home and told him to follow him. In reply, the priest nodded his head and without a word followed him. On their way home the stranger suddenly disappeared without leaving any signs. The priest immediately understood and went quietly in the lonely path.

From this day onwards, this kind of helping spirits are known as 'BRO' in Mishmi. The mishmi all over Arunachal Pradesh consider this spirit to be kind hearted spirit. According to mishmi mythology everyone has got their own 'BRO' within their body.
