(x-1)=3/4(x-1)-1/2 plz guys solve it

1/4(x-1) = -1/2
x-1 = -2
x= -1

(x-1)=3/4(x-1)-1/2

(x-1)-3/4(x-1)= -1/2

we know that

1-(3/4) =1/4

similarly here we got

1/4(x-1) = -1/2

(x-1)= -1/2×4/1

(x-1)=-2

x=-2+1

x= -1
