Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

({x+1})^{2}=2(x-3)

we know that,

\bold{\boxed{({a+b})^{2}={a}^{2}+{b}^{2}+2(a)(b)}}

{x}^{2}+{1}^{2}+2(x)(1)=2(x-3)

{x}^{2}+1+2(x)=2x-6

{x}^{2}+1+2(x)-2(x)+6=0

{x}^{2}+7=0

therefore its a quadratic equation,since its degrees(highest power) is 2.
