Given that :-


x - 1 / x = 2


=> x - 1 = 2x


=> 2x - x = -1


=> x = - 1 .


Now ,


x ⁴ + 1 / x⁴


Putting the value of x , we get


( - 1 ) ⁴ + 1 / ( -1 ) ⁴


= 1 + 1 / 1


= 2 / 1


= 2
