your ans

given:-

x+1/x=3

to find

x2+1/x2

apply

(x+1/x)2=x2+1/x2+2

(3)2=x2+1/x2+2

9-2=x2+1/x2

x2+1/x2=7

☺️hey mate! here's your answer!☺️

since,

x + \frac{1}{x} = 3

we know that,

 ( {x +{y}) }^{2} = {x}^{2} + { {y}^{2} } + 2xy

then, using the above identity,

 {(x + \frac{1}{x} )}^{2} = {x}^{2} + \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} } + 2(x)( \frac{1}{x} )

 = > {(3)}^{2} = {x}^{2} + \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} } + 2

 =  > 9 - 2 =  {x}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} }

 = > {x}^{2} + \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} } = 7

thus , answer is 7.

hope it is helpful ✌️!
