=> The half of the sum of a and c will be equal to b

So ,


$\frac{(x + 2) + (4x - 7)}{2} = 2x + 5$

x + 2 + 4x - 7 = 4x + 10

5x - 2 = 4x + 10

5x - 4x = 10 + 2

x = 12


So, x = 12
