Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

(x-2)/3+(x-3)/4=(x-1)/2

To find:-

Find the value of x ?

Solution:-

Given equation is (x-2)/3+(x-3)/4=(x-1)/2

LCM of 3 and 4 = 13

=> [4(x-2)+3(x-3)]/12 = (x-1)/2

=> (4x-8+3x-9)/12 = (x-1)/2

=> (7x-17)/12 = (x-1)/2

On applying cross multiplication then

=> 2(7x-17) = 12(x-1)

=> 14x -34= 12x-12

=> 14x -12x = -12+34

=> 2x = 22

=> x = 22/2

=> x = 11

Answer:-

The value of x for the given problem is 11

Check:-

If x = 11 then

LHS = (x-2)/3+(x-3)/4

=> (11-2)/3 + (11-3)/4

=> (9/3) + (8/4)

=> 3+2

=> 5

RHS =(x-1)/2

=> (11-1)/2

=> 10/2

=>5

LHS = RHS is true for x = 11

Verified the given relations.
