x^2 - 3x-10 =0 solve by completing square​

Answer:

x^2 + 3x -10...(here already the a=1)

(3/2)^2= 9/4 ......(squaring the middle term)

x^2+3x +9/4=10+9/4.....(added to b.s)

(x + 3/2)^2 = 49/4

taking √ b.s we get

x+3/2 = +7/2 and -7/2

therefore, x=7/2-3/2 and x=-7/2-3/2

i.e x=2 or x= -5
