Answer:

Discriminant of x^2 –  3x + 2 = 0 is 1.

Step-by-step explanation:

x^2 – 3x+2=0

Comparing it with ax^2+bx+c=0

a = 1    b =  - 3    c = 2

D=√ b^2 - 4ac

=√ ( -3 )^2 - 4 ( 1 ) ( 2 )

=√9-8

=√1

=1

∴  Discriminant of x^2 – 3x + 2 = 0 is 1.

harsh1856: 2x^2 + x +1=0
harsh1856: pls solve this also
parashuramnalla: D=b^2-4ac =(1)^2-4(2).(1) =1-8 = -7 So it has no real roots.

Heyaa☺

Given,

x^2- 3x + 2

Discriminant = b^2 - 4ac

Here,

a = 1 ; b = 3 ; c = 2

=》 (3)^2 - 4(1)(2)

=》 9 - 8

=》 1.

Discriminant = 1.

1 > 0, i.e, the roots have real and distinct.
