first solve 2 eqs
x+(2+3x)-5=1-(1+x)/4
x+2+3x-5=1-1-x/4
4x-3=-x/4
cross multiplying by4
4(4x-3)=x
16x-12=x
16x+x=12
17x=12
x=12/17
x=0.7
equating 2nd part
x+2+3x-5=7
4x-3=7
4x=7+3
4x=10
x=10/4
x=5/2
x= 2.5
or
1-1+x/4=7
x/4=7
x=7×4
x=28
