=>  {(x)^2 - (2)^2} ÷ (x+2)= 5

=>  {(x+2)(x-2)} ÷ (x+2) = 5              by applying (a^2 - b^2) = (a+b)(a-b)

=>  (x+2)(x-2)/(x+2) = 5

=>  (x-2) = 5

=>  x = 5+2

=>  x = 7

Hoe it helped you :)
