For finding nature of roots or quadratic equation we will first find its discriminant which is equal to b^2-4ac
where a,b,c are coffecient of x^2,x and x^0 respectively.
(-2)^2-4*(-4)*1
=20
So we can see that it is positive which implies roots are real and unequal.
Hope it helps

Answer:
x²-4x+4=0
D= b²-4ac
where a=1, b=-4, c=4
(-4)² -4(1×4)
16-4×4
16-16
=0
D=0
so, roots are real and equal
