x/2+5/9=2x/3

x/2-2x/3= -5/9

(3x-4x)/6= - 5/9

-x/6=-5/9

By cross multiplying,

-x×9=-5×6

-9x=-30

x= - 30/-9

x=10/3

Concept: This is a simple question based on a linear equation. Here we have to solve the equation which contains fractions also and find the value of 'X'.

Write the like terms together and then solve it.

Given: \frac{x}{2} +\frac{5}{9}= \frac{2x}{3}

To find: The value of 'X'

Solution:

\frac{x}{2} +\frac{5}{9}= \frac{2x}{3}

first, write the like terms together

\frac{x}{2}-\frac{2x}{3}=-\frac{5}{9}

\frac{3x-4x}{6}=-\frac{5}{9}

-\frac{x}{6}=-\frac{5}{9}

9x=30

x=\frac{30}{9}

Or   x=  \frac{10}{3}

Hence the answer to this question is \frac{10}{3}
