Heya !!
X² + 7X = 4
X² + 7X - 4 = 0
Here,
A = 1 , B = 7 and C = -4
Discriminant ( D ) = B²-4AC
=> (7)² - 4 × 1 × -4
=> 49 + 16
=> 65
Roots of the quadratic equation are : -B + root D / 2 A and -B - root D / 2A
=> - 7 + root 65 / 2 and -7 - root 65/ 2
