Equation : x² + 7x - 4 = 0
On comparing the equation with ( ax² + bx + c = 0 )
We get,
a = 1
b = 7
c = -4
Hence,
Discriminant = b² - 4ac
Putting the values,
Discriminant = ( 7 )² - 4( 1 × -4 )
=> 49 + 16
=> 65
,
Putting the value of discriminant and b and a
x = [ - 7 + √65 ] / 2
Or
x = [ - 7 - √65 ] / 2

x^2 + 7x - 4 = 0
then ...a = 1 , b = 7 & c = -4
formula = - b +- √(b^2 - 4ac)/2a....
you can solve. ...by using this method....bro
