y =  \frac{x {}^{2}  + a {}^{2}  }{x {}^{2} - a {}^{2}  }

Using Division rule

 \frac{dy}{dx}  =  \frac{vu {}^{1} - uv {}^{1}  }{v {}^{2} }

 \frac{dy}{dx}  =  \frac{(x ^{2}  -a {}^{2}). \frac{d(x {}^{2} + a {}^{2})   }{dx}   - (x {}^{2}  + a {}^{2}). \frac{d(x {}^{2} - a {}^{2})  }{dx}   }{(x {}^{2} - a {}^{2})  {}^{2}  }

 \frac{dy}{dx}  =  \frac{(x {}^{2}  - a {}^{2}).( 2x + a {}^{2} ) -(x {}^{2}  + a {}^{2}).(2x + a {}^{2} )  }{(x {}^{2}  - a {}^{2}) {}^{2}  }

Here " a" should not be Differnatated because it's a variable.
