p(x) =0

Now

p(x) = 2x^3 -5x^2 +ax + b =0

Since x -2 =0 is zero

x=2

put in p(x)

p(2) = 2(2)^3 - 5(2)^2 +2a +b =0

------> 2*8 -5*4 +2a +b =0

-------> 16 - 20 +2a+b =0

-------> -4 +2a +b =0

-------> 2a +b =4 ....................(1)

Now again x=0 is a zero

put in p(x)

p(0)= 2(0)^3 -5(0)^2 + a(0) +b =0

-----> 0 -0+0+b =0
