Answer:

 {x}^{2}  + x + 1 = 0 \\ comparing \: with \: a  {x}^{2}  + bx + c = 0 \\ a = 1 \:  \:  \: b = 1 \:  \:  \:  \: c = 1 \\ x =  - b  +   \  \frac{ \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  - 4ac} }{2a}  \\  x =  - 1 +   \frac{ \sqrt{ {1}^{2} - 4 \times 1 \times 1 } }{2 \times 1}  \\  x =  - 1 +  \frac{ \sqrt{1 - 4} }{2}  \\ x =  - 1 +   \frac{ \sqrt{ - 3} }{2}  \\ x =   \frac{ - 2 +  \sqrt{ - 3} }{2}  \\  \\ or \:  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 2  -  \sqrt{ - 3} }{2}

Hope it helps.
