It should be x² + 20 / x - 12 = 0

So :-->

Given :-

x² + 20 / x - 12 = 0

=> x² + 20 = 0(x - 12)

=> x² + 20 = 0

Here , a = 1 , b = 0 and c = 20

Acc. to the question We have to solve it by quadratic method

So , √D = √{ (0)² - 4 x 1 x 20 }

√D = √ { 0 - 80 }

√D = √-4 x 4 x 5 => -4√5

So , x = -b + √D/2a => -0 -4√5/2 x 1

=> -4√5/2

=> -2√5

also ,

x = -b - √D / 2a

=> -0 - (-4√5) / 2 x 1

=> 4√5 /2 = 2√5
